Pet passports

If you wish to take your cat or dog abroad with you on holiday it must have a valid Pet Passport. To obtain a passport your pet must first be microchipped, then vaccinated against rabies and finally pass a blood test. Once these criteria have been met a pet passport can be issued. However, the passport does not become valid for your pet’s re-entry into the UK until 6 months from the date of the blood test. This means that the whole process takes 7 and a half months from the start of vaccination to return to the UK. Click for more information about Pet Passports for dogs and for cats.

Pet insurance

Modern tests and techniques have allowed a greater level of pet care to be achieved. This is inevitably more expensive than before and so we highly recommend pet insurance as it allows us to provide the highest care possible. It also allows us to provide the highest care possible. It also allows us to consider referral to specialists if we feel this would benefit your pet’s welfare.

Under new FSA regulations we are able to give general information on insurance and provide leaflets from a variety of companies but are not able to discuss specific policies or recommend one company before another. Click for more information about insuring your dog or cat.
