We have a hospital type mobile X-Ray unit that is powerful enough for all our needs. It is used for a variety of purposes in the practice.
We commonly use it to investigate for fractured bones and other bony changes such as arthritis. It can also be used to check for foreign bodies such as stones and other objects that might have been swallowed. Abdominal and chest x-rays are used to look for soft tissue changes, changes in size or displacement of organs. It can be used to confirm pregnancy in the later stages when foetal skeletons become visible.
Automatic X-Ray processor
We use an automatic X-Ray processor to produce high quality films that are dry and ready to examine within minutes.
